The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (“Stimulus Package”) will invest $787 billion into our national economy. New Hampshire is slated to receive approximately $860 million from these stimulus funds. Now, our State bears the enormous responsibility of doling out those funds for projects to both public and private entities. From infrastructure to water resources to education to health care, the State of New Hampshire will be directing millions to Cities, Towns, hospitals and businesses like yours.
The State is currently engaged in developing criteria to judge requests for these monies. The goal of the Stimulus Package is to create jobs and get people working again as soon as possible. The State will be making rapid decisions and deploying funds based upon “shovel readiness.”
